We still have plenty of football left in the NFL season.
Unfortunately, two teams won’t have much to play for going forward.
As reported by FOX Sports: NFL on X, the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants have officially become the first two teams eliminated from playoff contention.

They’re now 2-10 for the season and will battle for the first two picks in the upcoming edition of the NFL Draft.
The Giants might have a new General Manager, as some believe Joe Schoen will be let go at the end of the season.
Whoever takes over will have an opportunity to hit the reset button, most likely with Colorado star QB Shedeur Sanders at the helm.
Brian Daboll will also most likely be let go.
The Raiders, on the other hand, will also look to find their new franchise quarterback.
If Sanders is gone by the time they’re on the clock, they might pivot to Cam Ward.
Whether Antonio Pierce will be there to coach him next season remains to be seen.
These two teams entered the season as dark horses to make the playoffs, but that was never the case.
They’ve free-fallen over the past two months or so, and judging by the current picture, winning another game this season isn’t in their best interests.
This was a tough blow for the fans, but like we’ve seen multiple times, sometimes a team is just one player away from turning the entire franchise around.
