With 12 weeks in the books during this 2024 NFL season, only two teams in the league are sporting records with only one loss to their credit, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions sitting at 10-1.

As of right now, it would be a safe bet that these two elite teams are headed for a showdown in the Super Bowl in February, even though the Chiefs might have a tough road ahead with opponents in the AFC, like the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

Even the Lions might have some tough challenges in the postseason, with the Philadelphia Eagles coming on strong and the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings potentially being formidable in the playoffs.

Ahead of Week 13’s matchups in the NFL, former superstar defensive end JJ Watt shared his two cents on who he believes is the best team in the league right now, with Detroit taking the top spot, followed closely by Philadelphia via The Pat McAfee Show.

“I think the Lions are the best team in football right now,” Watt said. “I do think that this Eagles team is humming, though. Saquon Barkley is special.”

The Eagles have become an elite team offensively as of late; with superstar running back Saquon Barkley making a case for NFL MVP, the team continues to win games from week to week.

Conversely, the Lions have been elite from right out of the gate and have shown no signs of slowing down with their potent offense.
