The Minnesota Vikings are the winners of the Daniel Jones sweepstakes.
According to NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, and Cameron Wolfe, the former New York Giant plans to sign with Kevin O’Connell and Co. after clearing waivers.
After an underperforming six-year stint with the Giants, Jones finds a new home with a playoff-caliber team in the Twin Cities.

The Minnesota Vikings are making the smart move by adding some insurance at the position behind veteran Sam Darnold, who played through a foot injury last weekend against the Chicago Bears.
Jones has way more starting experience than current Vikings backups Nick Mullens and Brett Rypien combined.
The former Duke Blue Devil and first-round draft choice has 69 career starts and has played in 70 career games.
Despite a tough stretch in the Big Apple, Jones did guide the Giants to the playoffs in 2022 and has experience as a dual-threat playmaker.
In that 2022 season, he threw for a career-best 3,205 yards and ran for a career-best 708 rushing yards.
He is a talented player who didn’t receive the best opportunities with the Giants.
There was no consistency among the coaching staff, and there was little talent on the offensive side of the ball aside from former Giants running back Saquon Barkley and standout rookie receiver Malik Nabers.
Jones now has a chance to win a ring with a good Vikings squad.
