2024 CMAs: Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan & More Hit the Red Carpet in Fierce Fashion!
Luke Bryan will be there for Daisy Dove unconditionally.
The American Idol judge revealed that he still keeps in touch with his former costar Katy Perry—who left the singing competition series this year after seven seasons as a judge—and her family.
“Katy and I text every now and then, and I check on her,” Luke exclusively told E! News at the 2024 CMA Awards Nov. 20. “Being on that show with her for seven years, me and her and Orlando, we all developed a great friendship together.”
Luke—who shares sons Thomas “Bo” Boyer Bryan, 16, and Tatum “Tate” Christopher Bryan, 14, with wife Caroline Bryan—also shared his love for Katy and Orlando’s 3-year-old daughter, even revealing the sweet nickname she calls him.
“It’s always nice to see how they’re doing and see how Daisy’s doing,” he noted. “And maybe Daisy will call me Uncle Luke for a long time.”
But now that Katy has left the American Idol family, he’s been welcoming her replacement Carrie Underwood into the fold.
