Our Favorite Games to Play

We love a good game – but after a while the games you have start to get a little stale. We’re here to share our favorites with you, in hopes you that you find a new favorite to play!

Happy Salmon

This game gets so loud, so fast but it’s so much fun! We’ve played this as a family of four, our kids have played it with their friends and we’ve even played it with just adults! It’s wild, pure chaos but you will be laughing instantly!

Cover Your A$$ets Players 2-6 | Ages 7-99+

Family favorite right here! We’ve played this numerous of times camping and at home – it’s always a big hit! Simply stack pairs of assets to cover your valuables before they are stolen by other players. Then defend your assets with Gold and Silver Wild Cards, or by using like cards in your hand. You can even steal your assets back if someone takes them! Players 2-6 | Ages 7-99+

Phase 10

Players work independently through the phases of the game. If you don’t complete a phase before someone runs out of cards, you repeat the phase while all who completed move on. If you like playing Rummy – you’ll like this one!

Five Crowns

A Rummy like game, but with more wilds and more cards each round. Work your way through hands with 3 through 13 cards to be the first to get rid of all of your cards and (hopefully) stick your opponents with a lot of points.

Venns with Benefits

Each player has a venn diagram board – at the beginning of each turn, choose a card from the yellow and pink pile and place on your board. All players create white cards for each other’s venn diagrams, looking for common themes among the displayed words. As it comes, the game is adults only – but we removed some cards to make it family friendly and our kids love to play with us!

Really Loud Librarians

Move around the board, working in teams to yell out items from the round’s category that begin with the letters shown. The more words you come up with before time runs out, the more points earned that round.

Trivial Pursuit – Family Edition

With cards for kids, and adults – this game is perfect for trivia loving families. Or, as my kids said… Hey this is like that game Trivia Crack. No honey – Trivia Crack copied this one!

Blank Slate

While there is strategizing in this game, it’s more to match with someone than to figure out how to win! We love this with big groups and they’re can be some really funny responses! Suitable for kids and adults too!

Qwixx

This game is actually a lot of fun after the first round or two! It took us a bit to get the hang of it but now that we understand how to play, we can move faster through it! Our kids had a little trouble with this one but it was still new to us!

Ticket to Ride

Our family absolutely loves this game! There’s a ton of strategy to it but our 9 and 11 year old really love playing! It’s great for just adults too!

Catan

Build Settlements and Roads strategically to collect more resources in order to build more settlements, cities, roads and armies. First player to 10 points wins!

CODENAMES Players 2-8 | Ages 10+

Talk about fun! Teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin. Whether you win or lose, it’s fun to figure out the clues. Players 2-8 | Ages 10+

Across the Board

Use the chips that come with the game, or upgrade to pennies or quarters… or if you’re feeling brave, $1 bills! This game is a great one for people who don’t enjoy games because there is no strategy involved and everyone is part of the action throughout the whole game, not just on their turn! This is also a great game if you have those that “dislike” playing games! It’s a no brainer – kind of fun!

Uno Attack

The regular game of Uno, only better! You’re not drawing cards in this one and once you push the button, you have no idea how many cards you’ll get.. maybe none!

Tower Stack

Think of this game as like the upgraded version of Jenga, only harder! This game is mindless and fun! Just don’t place the block for it to tip over!

Tapple Players 2-8 | Ages 8+

Choose a card with a category, press the timer, and shout out words related to the category that start with a certain letter. Once the related word is announced, press the corresponding letter tab! It’s so easy, everyone can play! Players 2-8 | Ages 8+

Trivial Pursuit – Family Edition

With cards for kids, and adults – this game is perfect for trivia loving families. Or, as my kids said… Hey this is like that game Trivia Crack. No honey – Trivia Crack copied this one!

Flipslide Game

Kids love this fast-paced, competitive game! The center four squares light up, each with a color that you flip the outside colors to match… and then they change! There are four modes: Speed, Level, Multiplayer and Memory.

Telestrations After Dark Players 4-8 | Ages 17+

Pictionary meets telephone…. with loads of adult only miscommunication! This game is hilarious and we’ve played many many hours with our adult friends! If you’re looking for some after dark fun, this is a good one! Players 4-8 | Ages 17+

Venns with Benefits
