Victoriaville Tigres sign top draft pick Enzo Lottin after NCAA rule change

[ad_1]

Score another victory for the CHL in the aftermath of the NCAA’s major rule change last week.

The Victoriaville Tigres have come to terms with 2024 seventh-overall draft pick Enzo Lottin, the QMJHL team announced Wednesday.

Lottin, 16, was playing with Chilliwack of the BCHL to start the season, allowing him to maintain his NCAA eligibility.

But with the NCAA announcing last week CHL players will be eligible to play U.S. college hockey as of next season, Lottin has decided to report to major junior.

Lottin is one of several players to make similar moves in the past week, including Ottawa Senators prospect Blake Montgomery (joining the OHL’s London Knights from the USHL).

Lottin has four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 18 games for Chilliwack.

The Tigres say Lottin could make his QMJHL debut as soon as Nov. 22-23, pending Hockey Canada approval.
