The Philadelphia Eagles are set to host the Washington Commanders on Thursday night in a matchup of seven-win teams.
However, former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Chase Daniel believes that the Detroit Lions are the best team in the NFC regardless of what the Eagles or Commanders do Thursday night.
“I don’t know if Philly is really, really good…No matter what the Eagles do, the best team in the NFC is the Detroit Lions,” Daniel said Thursday on The Facility.

You know you are a good team when your quarterback throws five interceptions, and you can still win.
The Detroit Lions did that last week on the road against a playoff-caliber Houston Texans team.
But this isn’t just about how good the Lions are.
It’s about what the Eagles have demonstrated so far.
Yes, they have seven wins, but many of those wins have come against teams with a record below .500.
They have beaten teams like the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Dallas Cowboys.
7-2 is an excellent record, but the product has not always been there like it has been for the Lions.
If the Eagles can take care of business against the Commanders on Thursday night at home, then perhaps they can join the Lions in that category.
After all, their best two wins are against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil and the Cincinnati Bengals, who have a record below .500.
Beating Washington could be huge moving forward.
