Amazon’s Best Black Friday Deals Are (Already) Here

Not so long ago, the words “Black Friday sales rush” were shorthand for watching people stampede each other for Cabbage Patch Dolls at 6 a.m. These days, however, the best Black Friday deals arrive early, online, and without curb stomping. Amazon has already soft-launched its deals for the holiday season, and inside the belly of the shopping behemoth there are deals on kitchen items, cookware, and this Le Creuset Cassadou that just might be able to heal me.

Holiday deals, it would seem, are no longer bridled by seasonality — and given that we still have plenty (OK, all) of our gift shopping to do, there’s no harm in snooping around the early Amazon sales section to get a leg up this year. After all, who knows when the vertical Staub chicken roaster — my personal Holy Grail of chicken roasters — will be on sale again for under $200?

Whether you’re roasting, toasting, or looking for a more comfortable mat to stand on while washing dishes, these are the best early Black Friday deals from Amazon that are already flying off the proverbial shelves.

Happy Trends cushioned floor mat

Washing dishes is work enough, my friend. Why not make the task less cumbersome with the help of a cushioned kitchen floor mat? My sister has one of these, and it makes me feel like someone made a Memory Foam mattress just for my feet.

There has been a lot of chatter amongst Eater writers about what constitutes a decent, non-eyesore drying rack. Eater Senior Reporter Bettina Makalintal recommended the brand Kitsure, and I can see why; the design is minimalist, and the stainless steel sides are high enough to prevent any dish avalanches.

The best early Black Friday deals on coffee makers and accessories

It took me a while to understand the appeal of the pod-based coffee machine. Then, after making what felt like an endless stream of French press coffee for visiting relatives, it dawned on me: pod coffee machines are immense time savers (and time respectors), because they allow different people who all wake up at different times of day to have their coffee needs instantly met, leaving you, the host, to do whatever you want. Keurig’s K Express is perfect for the task, and compact enough to be stored away with ease.

Bodum is one of my favorite affordable brands that makes me feel rich and worldly. That’s thanks largely to the Danish-Swiss kitchenware brand’s postmodern designs, which feel worthy of a Stanley Kubrick set. I also appreciate the slightly textured sides of this grinder, which can keep it from slipping out of your hands when removing coffee grounds.

The best early Black Friday deals on cookware

Le Creuset Cassadou

“Cassadou” is a really fun, really French way of saying, “this piece of cookware is a fever dream crossover of a Dutch oven and deep sauté pan.” It’s one of the original multi-tasking pieces of cookware, and perfect if you’re pressed for storage space in the kitchen.

All-Clad stainless steel roaster and nonstick rack

Don’t you want that sparkling new stainless steel roaster before Thanksgiving? This All-Clad option also comes with a nonstick rack for your bird of choice, and is made out of heavy-gauge, polished 18/10 stainless steel (translation: shiny and durable).

Ah, to be the proud owner of this Crock-Pot purse — I mean, portable Crock-Pot food warmer, which can carry your slow-cooked Korean beef and rice in an air-tight, electric container that can reheat your food in a pinch. (I want one just because I get grossed out by the communal work microwave.)

I love a straightforward appliance. Meaning, I want to live in a world where all I have to do for ice cream is push a big, clear button that reads “ICE CREAM” (as well as “ICE CREAM LITE,” in this case, for recipes that include little to no sugar or cream). The Ninja CREAMi has developed something of a cult-like following online for its ability to churn out smoothies, sorbets, milkshakes, and ice creams with ease.

Get It Right Spoonula

There’s a lot of nervous chatter right now about black plastic’s potential to contain toxic materials in light of a new study published in Chemosphere. Get It Right makes dishwasher-safe silicone kitchenware that doesn’t include BPA and BPS, and I have heard only the best things from the Eater team about its cooking utensils, especially the “spoonula,” which combines all the scraping power of a spatula with the scoop of a spoon. I’ve only been using mine for a few days, and already my shakshuka egg serving anxiety has lessened.

Imarku 8-inch Japanese chef’s blade

Prices taken at time of publishing.

I bought an Imarku chef’s knife at the suggestion of a friend who is a much better cook than me, and wow does this blade pull its weight in my knife lineup; it has excellent balance, a Pakkawood handle that is designed to be water damage-resistant, and a sharpness that rivals many $100+ knives I have tried.
