After spending the last six seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, star forward Paul George felt it was time for a change, as they headed into NBA free agency this past summer open to the idea of leaving his hometown for greener pastures.

Ultimately, George chose to leave the Clippers in favor of joining forces with fellow stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey with the Philadelphia 76ers, which was considered to be a game-changing move for both franchises.

George wasn’t all that happy with his situation in Los Angeles as he didn’t get the offer he was hoping for from the Clippers, which made his decision that much easier to head to Philadelphia to create one of the most talented trios in the league.

After leaving Los Angeles, George made some interesting comments on his podcast about his time with the Clippers, which didn’t sit well with fans of the franchise he had just spent six years with.

When George made his return to Los Angeles to face his old team recently, the 76ers star was greeted by a lot of boos from the crowd at Intuit Dome, and he felt the need to address that recently while also taking a shot at the Clippers faithful via NBA Central.

“I did not call Clippers ‘the B team.’ I said it felt like the B team… But they proved me right. They aren’t packing out Intuit Dome. That’s ya’ll home… Go f***** support them,” George said.

Unfortunately for George, things haven’t gone well in Philadelphia since he joined the team, with injuries ripping through the team, as he has dealt with a knee issue, and both Embiid and Maxey have also been on the mend.

As a result of the injuries to their star players, the 76ers are sporting an ugly record of 2-8, which isn’t the ideal start for Philadelphia.
