One of the more interesting prospects who is expected to be available in the 2025 NFL Draft is University of Colorado Boulder quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
In nine games this season, Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, has thrown for 2,882 yards and 24 touchdowns while completing 72.9 percent of his pass attempts and leading the Buffaloes to a 7-2 record.
Many expect the younger Sanders to be one of the top 10 picks in this coming April’s draft, but his father said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak” that he will step in if a team that he doesn’t like drafts him.

The elder Sanders elaborated on what would be an acceptable team for his son, and he said it would be one with a solid infrastructure that has a history of knowing how to handle and develop quarterbacks.
This could develop into something that mirrors what happened with Hall of Famer Eli Manning when he was drafted No. 1 overall by the then-San Diego Chargers in 2004 but adamantly refused to play for them.
He and his father publicly said he wouldn’t play for the Chargers if they drafted him, and he was subsequently traded to the New York Giants, where he spent his entire career.
In the meantime, there have been rumors that perhaps the elder Sanders would be interested in an NFL head coaching job, but at least for now, he seems content coaching in the NCAA at Colorado, a program he has turned around since it hired him prior to last season.
