The Chicago Bears have one of the most promising players in the league in their ranks.
We’re not talking just about right now, but ever.
It had been years since we saw a prospect like Caleb Williams, and while he’s been up and down as a rookie, the potential is most definitely there.
It’s not just his obvious physical and athletic traits but also his arm strength, mobility, quick release, and ability to make throws on the run that not many quarterbacks can do.
Per Danny Perkins, it’s also about his demeanor, leadership, and aura.
Talking to Kevin Clark, the renowned analyst went as far as to call Williams a “bustproof” quarterback prospect.
“I think he might be bustproof” –@DannyParkins.
I asked Danny what he’d say if Bears fans asked him why Caleb won’t suffer the same fate as previous Bears QBs. He went deep and optimistic. This Is Football was excellent today. pic.twitter.com/XQK6AHnuuo

He raved about his maturity and how he’s embraced a leadership role from day one, even being named a captain as a rookie.
He’s liked what he’s seen from him, especially in the losses, in terms of the way he carries himself and how you can tell that he’s frustrated about it.
The Bears might not have the best coaching staff to help with his development, and there have been legitimate concerns about how they could hurt him like they hurt their other young quarterbacks.
So far, the reigning No. 1 pick has completed 61% of his passes for 1,665 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions, adding 221 rushing yards on 38 attempts.
Even so, the eye test has been more impressive than his numbers, and hopefully, the team will do what’s best for him and his future, even if that means parting ways with their current coaching staff at the end of the season.
