The Baltimore Ravens scored a big and thrilling 35-34 win on “Thursday Night Football” against the Cincinnati Bengals, and it got them a bit closer to taking over first place in the AFC North.
However, it may have come at a cost, as All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton injured his ankle during the contest.
Fortunately, tests on the injury “came out as positive as could be hoped,” according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Tests on #Ravens star Kyle Hamilton’s ankle came out as positive as could be hoped, source said. (The positive that’s good, not the positive that’s bad).
Excellent news moving forward. https://t.co/3DXFsisQJx

Hamilton has seven passes defended, five quarterback hits, three tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and 71 total tackles (50 solo) through 10 games this season.
If he has to miss any time, it would be a big blow to a Ravens team that has legitimate Super Bowl aspirations, as they do have some problems defending against their opponents’ passing game.
Against Cincinnati, Baltimore allowed quarterback Joe Burrow to throw for a whopping 428 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, while wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase feasted with 11 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
But other than their issues defending the pass, the Ravens have the look of a team that could end the Kansas City Chiefs’ reign and claim a Vince Lombardi Trophy of their own.
Lamar Jackson, their MVP quarterback, could be on his way to winning that award for a second straight season, and running back Derrick Henry seems to be on pace to possibly earn win Offensive Player of the Year.
Henry was contained by the Bengals, but he has run for 1,120 yards and 12 touchdowns to lead the league in both categories.
