After a dreadful start to the 2024 NFL season, with the Los Angeles Rams losing four out of their first five games of the year, Sean McVay’s squad has seemingly turned things around, highlighted by a brilliant overtime win over the division-rival Seattle Seahawks, with some late-game heroics by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.
The Rams have now won three straight games and are sitting at 4-4 to start the second half of the 2024 campaign, which is a promising sign for the franchise moving forward, especially after such a disastrous start, which led many to believe the team would start clearing house by trading superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Fortunately for Los Angeles, the team was able to avoid a fire sale ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday, as Kupp will remain with the team that drafted him back in 2017.
However, the Rams didn’t stand pat at the deadline, as Los Angeles decided to part ways with cornerback Tre’Davious White, whom they traded to the Baltimore Ravens in a deal that resulted in basically a swap of seventh-round draft picks, which has sparked some criticism via Albert Breer of MMQB.
This is perhaps the lowest return I’ve ever seen on a trade. Tre’Davious White gets another shot with this Ravens’ dice roll. White was great before all the injuries hit. We’ll see if he has anything left, with the Ravens needing help in the secondary. https://t.co/a9Co49JwXb

With White being a hot commodity ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, it is surprising that Rams general manager Les Snead couldn’t get more for the star cornerback.
Even though the Rams’ trade haul isn’t anything to rave about, the Ravens have improved their team and their chances of competing for a Super Bowl title this season.
