The Washington Commanders have already found more success this season than most people thought they would.
They’ve lost just two games, one of which came in Week 1, and the other which was a close loss to a Super Bowl contender.
They’re currently going through their second three-game winning streak of the season, and Jayden Daniels looks like a superstar in the making.
That’s why, as crazy as it would be for a rookie to win MVP, Chris Canty believes he should be a top-3 candidate at the very least.
In the latest edition of “UNSPORTSMANLIKE,” Canty made a case for Daniels being a legitimate MVP candidate.

He argued that the Commanders are much better than people thought, adding that Daniels has instilled a different kind of confidence in them.
More than that, he believes he’s not just putting up numbers; he’s actually doing what a quarterback needs to do to keep the chains in motion and capitalize on red zone opportunities.
Canty praised Daniels for his situational football skills and how he performs when the clock is close to striking zero; he plays like someone who knows what he’s doing.
Truth be told, it would be a huge surprise to see a rookie win MVP.
But from a football standpoint, Daniels deserves some strong consideration.
The Commanders are 7-2 at the midpoint of the season, and they control their own destiny in the division.
They still have some tough games ahead of them, including four divisional matchups, but you have to love their chances right now.
