Farrell brings experience from a 13-game NFL tenure that spans three teams.
Starting with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022, moving to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023, and now with the Dolphins in 2024, he’s accumulated 13 tackles, including four solo stops and two tackles for loss, along with one pass defended.
The promotion of Farrell addresses a specific need, filling the void left by Zach Sieler’s absence due to an orbital fracture.
His elevation, marking the second of three permitted moves, provides crucial defensive line depth.
Overton’s addition brings veteran stability to the special teams unit.
His 11-season career encompasses 141 games with multiple franchises: the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Chargers, Dallas Cowboys and now the Dolphins with appearances in Weeks 7 and 8.
His credentials include 26 tackles, a 2013 Pro Bowl selection, and playoff experience with Indianapolis, Tennessee and Dallas.
