The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series to win their eighth championship in franchise history.

The Dodgers’ 7-6 victory included a five-run comeback to secure the title.

The celebration parade took place in Los Angeles, and superstar Shohei Ohtani revealed his thoughts on the event.

“I am totally overwhelmed with the amount of fans that are here, it’s incredible,” Ohtani said, via MLB on X.

Ohtani had an incredible first season with the Dodgers, capping it off with a World Series title.

In the regular season, Ohtani batted .310 with 54 home runs, 130 RBIs, 59 stolen bases and a 1.036 OPS.

He made Major League Baseball history by becoming the first player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in the same season.

Ohtani struggled in the World Series with two hits in 19 at-bats, but the Dodgers were still able to take the series.

The Dodgers will look to enjoy their celebration for the time being before beginning to prepare for their title defense in 2025.

Ohtani was not able to pitch at all for the Dodgers in 2024, and it will be interesting to see what the team decides to do in that area if he is fully healthy.

The likely National League MVP is staying with the Dodgers for the foreseeable future, and he will look to win another ring in 2025.
