Things are not looking good for the Milwaukee Bucks right now and it has many people questioning what the team will do next.

Obviously, something has to change if the Bucks want to return to the playoffs.

Does that mean head coach Doc Rivers could be terminated, despite only being on the job for less than a year?

If that happens, there are multiple candidates who could take the role of coach.

According to Bovada, per NBACentral, Terry Stotts is the front-runner to be the new leader for the Bucks.

He has +275 odds, followed by Monty Williams with +300, Mike D’Antoni and Mark Jackson with +500, and Frank Vogel with +900.

Kenny Atkinson and Steve Nash are also in the mix with +950 and +1500, respectively.

The idea of Rivers being fired after such little time in his position may seem far-fetched to some but it’s now very possible after such a rough start to the season.

While most people agreed the Bucks would have difficult competition in the Eastern Conference, few thought they’d be 1-4 at this point.

Rivers isn’t the root of all Milwaukee’s problems but firing him would allow the team to turn the page and start a new chapter.

Stotts has a history with the Bucks and was the team’s coach from 2005 to 2007.

He was also an assistant for Milwaukee back in 2023 but left the team just before the season began.

Stotts is a well-respected leader who previously worked with Damian Lillard when they were both with the Portland Trail Blazers.

But does he have what it takes to finally make this team competitive again?

Right now, the Bucks are fighting to accumulate more wins and it sounds like Rivers might be fighting to keep his job.
