LaMelo Ball has burst out of the gates this season, showcasing career-best numbers across the board.

The Charlotte Hornets guard is putting up an impressive 28.5 points per game while adding 7.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds per contest.

His stellar play has helped the Hornets split their first four games.

But it’s not all serious business in Charlotte. As the Hornets prepared for an upcoming clash against the Boston Celtics, the team decided to inject some Halloween spirit into their practice facility.

The result? A perfectly executed prank that left Ball thoroughly frightened.

In a video shared by Hoop Central, Ball’s reaction was priceless as he encountered an animatronic clown lurking in the stairwell.

The moment Ball spotted the clown, he let out a startled scream that quickly turned to laughter.

“Boy, hell naw, it’s too early for that!” he exclaimed while climbing the stairs.

The prank had such an impact that he playfully collapsed on the steps, clutching his chest and calling out, “Feel my heart!”

Despite the hijinks, the Hornets remain focused under new head coach Charles Lee.

They are off to a promising start, especially considering Ball’s extended absence last season due to injury.

As they prepare to host the defending champion Celtics for two consecutive home games, spirits are high, and Ball’s early-season form suggests he’s more than ready for the challenge ahead.
