The Los Angeles Lakers got trounced by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, losing 134-110 for their second consecutive defeat.

But it wasn’t all bad news for LA because the team witnessed Bronny James score his first basket in the NBA.

Following the game, Bronny’s father LeBron spoke about seeing his son get a bucket.

It was a special moment for LeBron that was made even more important because Bronny was able to score in front of his hometown crowd.

“To see him get his first NBA basket in the arena where he grew up…it’s an unbelievable moment,” LeBron said, via Yahoo Sports.

Like LeBron, Bronny was born in Akron and still considers Ohio home.

That means he was happy to meet this special career milestone in this city and make the crowd proud.

The Lakers had a tough night and suffered their first blowout of the season.

However, if the score had been tighter, Bronny probably wouldn’t have played much.

But as the game got more and more embarrassing for the Lakers, Cleveland fans started chanting for Bronny and requesting they see him in the game.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick eventually gave them what they wanted and put Bronny on the floor, where he soon scored a two-pointer.

He also recorded 2 assists and 1 steal as well during his five minutes on the court.

This might be the last time NBA fans see Bronny on the floor with the Lakers, at least for a while.

The plan is for him to join LA’s G League affiliate team and enhance his skills, with hopes of returning to the Lakers later.

These two points from Bronny were special for several reasons but they might be the last he scores for the Lakers for the foreseeable future.
