Since its release a few weeks ago, NBA fans have devoured Netflix’s “Starting 5.”

The documentary series followed the lives of five NBA stars as they fought their way through the 2023-24 season.

The show was obviously a big hit and now Netflix is filming a second season that will likely be released next fall.

On Tuesday morning, Shams Charania revealed the cast of the new season.

The show will now follow Tyrese Haliburton, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Jaylen Brown.

This is a well-rounded cast that may give viewers another up-close look at a championship run.

It’s interesting that Netflix chose both Gilgeous-Alexander and Brown because their two teams are seen as frontrunners to go all the way to the NBA Finals.

The last season of the show followed Jayson Tatum and gave fans all-access footage of his run to a first championship.

These players are some of the biggest names in the NBA and they each have a lot to prove this year.

Haliburton is trying to help his Indiana Pacers get back to the Eastern Conference, while Harden is attempting to keep his Los Angeles Clippers on track after the loss of Paul George and Russell Westbrook.

Meanwhile, Durant is still playing incredible basketball after years in the league but wants more from his Phoenix Suns.

Chances are high that at least one of these stars will reach their conference finals, if not beyond.

But no matter what, there will be a lot of drama with these five players and Netflix was wise to choose them.
