The New York Jets have been struggling, and they seemed to receive a gift from the schedule in the form of a Week 8 contest against the horrible New England Patriots on Sunday.
But they couldn’t take advantage, as they lost 25-22, and with a 2-6 record, their season is starting to look like a disaster.
Pass rusher Haason Reddick made his season debut after holding out for a contract extension, but he didn’t play well, and former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick called him out on Monday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show” for his poor play.
“Just a lot of mistakes by the Jets in that game yesterday..

Reddick reacted by saying on X (formerly Twitter) that perhaps Belichick is simply too bored and needs to return to coaching.
Aye someone call Bill Belichick and give him a job. Seems like he’s home bored and can’t keep me out of his mouth. Come up for air why don’t ya (no diddy) 😂.

The Jets have many issues, and it is very unlikely that Reddick returning to form will get them on the winning track.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is clearly not the player he used to be on a consistent basis, and kicker Greg Zuerlein has been inconsistent and unreliable.
Many feel New York’s season is practically over, as the team will have to go on a furious run the rest of the way to have any real shot at making the playoffs.
It will play the 6-2 Houston Texans after a short rest period this Thursday, and it will then face the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts, two teams that are fighting to earn playoff spots.
The hopes that new acquisition Davante Adams, the six-time Pro Bowler and former teammate of Rodgers, would improve the Jets are mostly gone now.
