The best two teams in baseball this year will meet in the World Series. The New York Yankees won the AL East with a 94-68 record, which was the best mark in the American League. The Los Angeles Dodgers were tops in the National League with 98 wins and captured the NL West crown.
The 2024 World Series marks the 12th time that these two storied franchises have met in October, but it’s the first instance in over 40 years. The Yankees also feature a formidable lineup, with its own trio of sluggers in Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton in the middle of it.
The World Series starts on Friday in Los Angeles. The Yankees will send Gerrit Cole to the mound against the Dodgers’ Jack Flaherty for Game 1. First pitch is scheduled for tonight at 8:08 p.m. ET (5:08 p.m. PT) on Fox. Here’s what you need to know to watch without cable.
