Baseball fans are in for a treat on Friday when the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees kick off the 2024 World Series in a battle between two of the three most expensive rosters in the league and the two biggest media markets.

This will surprisingly be the 12th time the Dodgers and Yankees meet in the World Series, which is the most in MLB history, though it’s the first time the two have met in the Fall Classic since 1981.

If there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about winning championships, it’s 7-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady, and he recently shared his thoughts on this box office World Series matchup.

Brady appeared on Mad Dog Sports Radio Friday morning to speak with Jim Gray and his long-time head coach, Bill Belichick, to share his World Series thoughts, and he said “I’m rooting for a 7-game series and I don’t know if I’m rooting for anyone, but it’s pretty great when the Yankees win it. What a great series. Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, you’ve got all the stars. This is one I think a lot of people are going to be watching. I can’t wait to watch.”

This is not exactly what all those Yankee-hating New England Patriots fans want to hear given the team’s rivalry with the Boston Red Sox, and they’ll surely be hoping their guy doesn’t get his wish this time.

As an objective baseball fan, you couldn’t ask for a bigger matchup in the World Series, and we’re all in for a treat.

Except for Boston fans.
