Rangers send Matt Rempe to AHL Hartford

After Matt Rempe suited up for just two games so far this season, the New York Rangers are sending the bruiser to the Hartford Wolf Pack, the team’s AHL affiliate.

The 22-year-old forward hasn’t seen game action since Oct. 19 and has just a combined 11:17 of ice time across his two games.

Rempe burst into the NHL in the 2023-24 season and quickly made a name for himself as an enforcer. He racked up 71 penalty minutes in 17 games, scoring one goal and one assist on 5:38 average TOI.

Rempe played 43 games for the Wolf Pack last season, notching eight goals and 12 points with 96 penalty minutes.

The Calgary native was selected in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Draft by the Rangers. He previously played in the WHL, serving as alternate captain for the Seattle Thunderbirds.
