Giannis Antetokounmpo leaving the Milwaukee Bucks is a thought that would send shivers down any fan’s spine.
Yet, as the 2024-25 NBA season looms, the “Greek Freak” is hinting at the possibility.
Since leading the Bucks to the NBA championship in 2021, Antetokounmpo’s hunger for success hasn’t waned.
He’s ready to face whatever comes, even if it means parting ways with the team he’s played for his entire NBA career.
“Yeah, if we don’t win a championship, I might get traded,” Antetokounmpo said, via Sam Amick of The Athletic. “This is the job we live. This is the world we’re living in. It’s everybody. At any given moment, if you don’t succeed, that might be it for us. … If you don’t do a good enough job, you’re out.”
Can Giannis stay healthy? Can Dame have a bounce-back season? Will Doc be able to bring them all together?
There is serious pressure in Milwaukee this season, and Giannis knows it as much as anyone.

It’s no secret that the NBA thrives on big trades, and teams with superstar players who can’t break through in the playoffs often opt for a clean slate.
Take the Brooklyn Nets, for instance. Their superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden seemed unstoppable on paper.
But when they couldn’t even reach the Eastern Conference Finals, the Nets hit the reset button and traded away their stars.
Antetokounmpo, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, has been Milwaukee’s golden boy since then.
The thought of trading him would be heartbreaking for the Bucks faithful.
But as his core teammates aren’t getting any younger, Milwaukee might have to consider the unthinkable if it can’t make a splash this season.
