After getting quarterback Aaron Rodgers back healthy following a season that was derailed by injury, the New York Jets had high hopes of becoming a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the AFC during the 2024 NFL campaign.

Unfortunately for the Jets, things haven’t gone as planned during the first six weeks, resulting in head coach Robert Saleh getting fired and Rodgers clearly frustrated on the sideline.

Over the past few weeks, the Jets had been linked to Davante Adams, with the wide receiver letting the Las Vegas Raiders know that he wanted to be traded.

That deal recently came to pass, with Las Vegas sending him to the Big Apple to reunite with his former Green Bay Packers teammate.

With the veteran quarterback seemingly happy about the team’s direction once again, it might bode well for success moving forward if the duo still has the chemistry that can lead to lighting up the scoreboard on a weekly basis.

NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell talked about what the wideout will bring to the Jets, starting in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“What Adams gives you is a true X receiver. He can win one-on-one,” Cosell said on “The Herd.”

There’s no doubting Adams’ talent and previous success in the NFL, but whether these two stars can rekindle their chemistry from Green Bay and lead New York to a title remains to be seen.

The Jets won’t waste any time with Adams, as he’s expected to be on the field to take on the Steelers on “Sunday Night Football” despite missing his final games with the Raiders with a possible hamstring injury.
