The Washington Commanders have themselves a player under center in rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The former Heisman winner has led Washington to a 3-1 start and is prepared to guide them toward contention.

According to Pro Football Focus, Daniels stands alone as the highest-grade rookie player in the NFL so far this season (83.0).

Through the team’s first four games, Daniels has been exceptional.

The former LSU Tiger has a passer rating of 107.4 and has thrown just one interception.

He has completed over 82% of his passes, has a solid quarterback rating of 73.3, and has run for 218 yards a four touchdowns on the ground.

With the way things are going in the NFC East right now, the Commanders might be the team to beat.

The Dallas Cowboys are mediocre at 2-2, the New York Giants are the same old New York Giants at 1-3, and the Philadelphia Eagles have not hit on their potential just yet at 2-2.

Daniels has built a strong connection with Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin and has multiple other trustworthy, skill-position players in running backs Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler, along with veteran tight end Zach Ertz.

Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has done a great job calling plays so far, and Daniels has done a great job executing them.

Nobody knows what the ceiling of this Commanders team is yet, and that might be just how they prefer it.

Washington will face a struggling Cleveland Browns team this Sunday afternoon at home with a chance to get to a record of 4-1.
