The Philadelphia Eagles headed into the 2024 NFL season with high hopes of putting a disappointing 2023 campaign behind them and getting back on track as one of the best teams in the NFC, with star quarterback Jalen Hurts leading the way under center.

Although the Eagles got off to a decent start on the road in Brazil against Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers, it has been a roller coaster ride ever since, with some subpar performances and losses every other week.

The Eagles lost to Kirk Cousins’ Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 by one point and then bounced back with a win over the New Orleans Saints last weekend, but on Sunday, things got rough for Philadelphia on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who crushed them in the first round of the NFL playoffs last season.

Tampa Bay seemed to get right back to where they were in their postseason matchup against Philadelphia, with veteran quarterback Baker Mayfield outplaying Hurts from start to finish, resulting in the Eagles’ worst loss of the season thus far, 33-16.

Following the loss to the Buccaneers, the attention immediately turned to head coach Nick Sirianni and whether he’d be able to keep his job over the course of the 2024 campaign via Barstool Philly.

Here are some of the reactions to the Eagles falling apart against the Buccaneers:

With big-name head coaches like Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel currently looking for another coaching job in the NFL, the Eagles brass might not be giving Sirianni a long leash this season.

Fortunately for the Eagles, the team will enter their bye week after this loss before returning to work in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.
