The Houston Texans face a crucial juncture in their season following a disheartening loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.

Despite that setback, the Texans maintain an early lead in the AFC South with an opportunity to solidify their position against the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4.

However, injury concerns are casting a shadow over the Texans offense.

Wide receiver Tank Dell missed practice due to a chest injury, and their top two running backs, Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring), also sat out, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

Mixon reportedly remains week to week, casting doubt on his availability beyond the upcoming game.

Houston’s defensive line also faces challenges, as tackle Folorunso Fatukasi sat out practice with a shoulder issue.

Despite these setbacks, the Texans’ receiving corps retains some depth.

Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins remain at quarterback C.J. Stroud’s disposal, and Dell’s absence could provide an opportunity for John Metchie III to see increased playing time.

The Texans offense aims to rebound against a Jaguars defense that struggled mightily against the Buffalo Bills.

The home-field advantage in Houston could prove beneficial for the Texans as they seek to regain their footing.

Though the Week 3 performance was subpar, the Texans possess the elements of a solid team, including a competent staff led by head coach DeMeco Ryans and a young star quarterback in Stroud.

If they can address their recent mistakes and play to their potential, they should be well-positioned to rebound against the Jaguars.
