The Philadelphia Eagles got a much-needed victory in Week 3 on the road against the New Orleans Saints.

Despite putting up just 15 points, the Eagles posted 460 total yards and owned time of possession on offense while their defense held the Saints to just 219 total yards and 12 points.

Unfortunately for Philadelphia, it is still dealing with the injury bug.

Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown, 1,000-yard receiver DeVonta Smith, and All-Pro offensive tackle Lane Johnson were not seen at the start of practice, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.

The Eagles are preparing to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 4.

Remember, last season it was the Bucs who finished the Eagles’ collapse in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs.

Tampa Bay, after winning its first two games of the 2024 NFL season, suffered a shocking loss to the Denver Broncos at home.

Now, the Buccaneers are going to be even hungrier for this rematch against the Eagles, who are still a contending team, on paper.

But after the way last season unfolded for Philadelphia, it is hard to guess which version of the team fans will get, with health a growing concern.

Time will tell to see if the Eagles can improve in terms of overall play and health as the season moves along.

However, no team can find consistency on the field if their best players are battling injuries week in and week out.
