“It was early in the morning and me and my daughter were eating,” Lamorne told E! about finding out he was nominated. “She didn’t give a damn. She did, ‘Why are you crying daddy? Daddy is crying!’ How are you laughing at a person who is crying, honey?”
He added, “She hasn’t learned yet. So disrespectful. These kids, man!”
And while his win tonight will hopefully earn his daughter’s respect, Lamorne had other things on his mind: namely calling out former Jake Johnson for holding up the hopes of a New Girl reboot.
“Everybody is on the same page that we want to, except for Jake Johnson,” he explained. “Jake Johnson, man, you’ve been a problem.”
And Lamorne is not above putting Jake on blast about it.
“We all love the fans so much that we want to give them what they want. What’s wrong, Jake? You don’t love the fans?” He joked on the red carpet. “Jake Johnson hates the fans!”
