There was a lot of commotion when the Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Although the move was expected for months when Bronny declared for the draft, it was still a little surreal to see him picked by the Lakers.
Bronny will now get the chance to team up with his father LeBron James, forming the first father-son duo on the same NBA team.
Los Angeles has a knack for making history, and the opportunity to pair the two was apparently too good to pass up.
Bronny isn’t expected to play much for the parent team during the 2024-25 NBA season but should find his fair share of reps down in the G League with the South Bay Lakers.
Still, Bronny remains a large fan-favorite who just so happened to be seen leaving a sports card event with his rumored girlfriend.

Bronny and Richardson were rumored to be dating earlier in the summer and it appears that those reports were true as the pair is seen leaving the event together.
Any time an NBA player is seen out with a potential partner, it makes the gossip rounds though it’s always best to leave couples alone if they’re seen in public.
Bronny is one of the most high-profile players in the league already and his personal life will be under a microscope throughout his career.
