The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in the NFL right now.

As such, sold-out tickets are usual at Arrowhead Stadium now.

The whole city stops on Sunday just to rally around the team, and with a rivalry matchup on deck, this Sunday wasn’t the exception to the rule.

As shown by Jeff Darlington on social media, lines of Chiefs fans tailgating at Arrowhead are absolutely massive.

This isn’t much of a surprise, as Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are on their way.

These teams have developed a strong rivalry over the past couple of years.

Burrow held bragging rights over Mahomes after beating him in the AFC Championship Game and finding success vs. the Chiefs in the regular season as well.

Then, Mahomes sent him home en route to a Super Bowl win to even the score.

Bengals players have talked plenty of smack about the Chiefs over the past couple of years, and even the Mayor of Cincinnati tried to get into the rivalry by calling Arrowhead ‘Burrowhead.’

The Bengals will look to bounce back from a disappointing start to the season, and chances are they were already thinking about this matchup when they were on the field vs. the New England Patriots.

The defending champions, on the other hand, will also look to make a statement and prove that they’re much better than they were last season, and beating the Bengals after already getting past the Baltimore Ravens would be perfect for that.
