The Washington Commanders have to be pleased with what they have seen from Jayden Daniels.

Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick from the 2024 NFL Draft, showed off why he deserved to be picked so high as his dual-threat game was on full display against the New York Giants in their win 21-18 on Sunday.

The rookie quarterback has loads of upside if he can get used to NFL defenses and find his groove throwing, and his ceiling remains high every week because of his running ability.

Before the game, Daniels made a kind gesture to a young fan who was excited to see him.

“Jayden Daniels just made this young fan’s day before the Commanders matchup vs the Giants.”

In a heartwarming moment, Daniels threw a football to the young fan wearing a Terry McLaurin jersey, and the smile on his face indicates how much it meant to him.

It looks like Daniels will quickly become a fan favorite if he continues to interact with fans the way he did with the kid, though fans will still want to see more out of him on the field.

However, all signs are pointing to a long and successful career for Daniels.
