Cinnamon Toast Crunch goes hog wild for bacon
Hormel’s Black Label Bacon is partnering with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal on a product that combines the best of sweet and salty.
The limited-edition bacon has a crisp, sugary crust with cinnamon, sugar and salt. It is made by applying Cinnadust seasoning to thick-cut bacon and holding it overnight for optimal flavor. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bacon is Black Label’s first co-branded product.
Black Label Cinnamon Toast Crunch is designed for snacking or being paired with other foods, according to Hormel.
“Sweet and savory is such a classic combination, and blasting BLACK LABEL bacon with our CINNADUST seasoning blend is a no-brainer to deliver the epic flavor our fans love in even more ways,” Brandon Tyrrell, senior marketing manager for Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, said in a statement.
Black Label Cinnamon Toast Crunch will be on shelves starting Sept. 16 at select Walmart locations. In the coming weeks, the product will make its way to some Kroger stores while supplies last.

Krispy Kreme gets a pink makeover
Last year, Barbie hit the big screen. This year, consumers can reminisce in the form of fried dough.
In celebration of the iconic American doll’s 65th anniversary, Mattel’s Barbie teamed up with Krispy Kreme to create four all-new doughnuts featuring designs and flavors inspired by the doll.
The four sweets are:
- Barbie Pink Doughnut, a glazed doughnut piped with pink buttercream, sprinkled with sparkly pink sugar and topped with Barbie sunglasses.
- Malibu Dream Party Doughnut, an unglazed shell doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in Malibu blue icing and sparkly graham sand, topped with a Barbie DreamHouse piece and piped with a white cloud.
- Barbie Berries ’n Kreme Doughnut, an unglazed shell doughnut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with purple and pink buttercream and topped with a Barbie heart.
- Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut, a glazed doughnut, dipped in chocolate icing, topped with Barbie Sweet 65.
All of the doughnuts are available for a limited time at select Krispy Kreme locations.
“Barbie and Krispy Kreme are two brands that immediately spark joy and elicit sweet memories,” Meredith Norrie, vice president of global licensing and consumer products at Mattel, said in a statement. “As we continue to celebrate Barbie’s 65th anniversary this year, Krispy Kreme is the perfect partner to join us, inviting fans across generations to enjoy the perfect blend of flavor and style, with nods to Barbie sprinkled into every bite.”
Fans of the collaboration can also find a limited-time Krispy Kreme 6-pack at select grocery stores.
This isn’t the first time Krispy Kreme has ventured into partnerships with a famous fictional character. Last year, the North Carolina-based chain partnered with Scooby Doo to create doughnuts for Halloween based on the crime-solving dog and his friends.
