Gabrielle Union isn’t afraid to bring it on when it comes to her relationship with Dwyane Wade.
In fact, the Riff Raff star believes that she and the retired basketball player still “know nothing” about marriage despite being hitched for 10 years, driving them on a constant path of self-discovery and self-improvement.
“Every day is a chance to learn more about yourself,” Gabrielle exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker during the Canadian premiere of her new crime comedy at the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 9. “You have to keep learning, and the second you get complacent is where it starts to form little fissures.”
She continued, “I’m always working on myself. The more I work on myself, the better our relationship is—and the same with him.”
And the 51-year-old—who shares daughter Kaavia, 5, with Wade and is stepmom to his kids Xavier, 10, Zaya, 17, and Zaire, 22, from previous relationships—doesn’t believe that social media can truly capture what married life entails.
