The San Francisco 49ers are taking on the New York Jets on Monday evening to wrap up Week 1 of NFL action, and it is a marquee matchup featuring two star-studded teams that have the ability to go very deep in the playoffs.

Some players love to make a statement not only on the field but also while making their way into the arena with the outfits they wear.

49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel arrived at Levi’s Stadium wearing an interesting and unique outfit.

Fans had a lot to say about that outfit on X (formerly Twitter).

Samuel may not put up prolific stats, but he is an essential part of the 49ers’ offense.

He does a good job of working underneath the opposing team’s secondary, and he is one of the best in the NFL at adding yards after the catch.

He can also do something very few other wideouts are capable of doing: line up in the backfield as a makeshift running back and move the chains.

Last year, he had 60 catches for 892 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 225 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

He had previously been named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First Team in 2021 with 1,405 receiving yards, 365 rushing yards and 14 total touchdowns.

Niners star running back Christian McCaffrey, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, is out for Monday’s game, so Samuel may need to have a big performance in order for his team to pick up a win.
