5G Meets Wi-Fi 7 for Super-Fast Hotspot Internet by Netgear

Finding a fast, reliable internet connection while on the go is often a challenge. Device and network limitations can make for a slow, spotty and potentially unsecure connection, but Netgear looks to change that with the introduction of its Nighthawk M7 Pro Mobile Hotspot (MR7400).

As the “world’s first Wi-Fi 7 5G Mobile Hotspot,” the Nighthawk MR7400 harnesses the potential of 5G and Wi-Fi 7 technologies for an on-the-go connection that is faster than what you’ll find from most home internet providers. The tri-band Wi-Fi 7 device is built to deliver speeds approaching 6 gigabits per second for personal or business use and is now available at ATT.com for $450. AT&T Enterprise Business customers can qualify for a discount — $100 to $150 off the purchase price — with a two or three-year service agreement.

The Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ SDX75 chipset powers the Nighthawk M7 Pro Mobile Hotspot and runs on AT&T’s 5G network. The battery-powered hotspot device is small enough to fit in your pocket, purse or backpack, so you can take it with you for a fast, reliable connection whenever and wherever you need it.

David Henry, president and GM of Connected Home Products and Services at Netgear, says the router manufacturer is “raising the bar once again by packing secure, cutting-edge performance, based on our decades of experience, into an elegant pocket-sized package with the M7 Pro.”

Nighthawk M7 Pro product details:

  • Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 with dual-band dual concurrent operation
  • 5GHz + 6GHz concurrent support
  • 2.8” touchscreen display
  • Removable 5040mAh Li-ion battery for up to 10 hours of use
  • One USB Type-C, one 2.5 gigabit Ethernet and two TS9 RF antenna ports

Security is always a concern when connecting to the internet, especially when away from home. The M7 Pro helps to boost online security by providing a “private Wi-Fi connection with a built-in firewall for up to 64 devices.”

Multi-gigabit speeds up to 6Gbps will accommodate many devices, and an omnidirectional MIMO antenna available from Netgear (sold separately) will help ensure your Wi-Fi signal has the range to support all connected devices.
