With the 2024 NFL season kicking off, several teams truly believe they have the goods to reach the Super Bowl and earn the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Last year, the New York Jets were filled with excitement and hype after the arrival of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back Dalvin Cook.

But when Rodgers tore his Achilles on their first offensive series of the year, all that excitement and hype disappeared in a New York minute.

This time around, most of that hype has resurfaced, but “Speak” host Joy Taylor isn’t buying it, saying that the vibes surrounding the Jets entering this season are “completely delusional.”

Taylor pointed out how Rodgers hasn’t played a full NFL game since January 2023 and all the wear and tear he has sustained at this point of his career, as well as the fact that in 2022, his last full season, he didn’t play his best football.

That year with the Green Bay Packers, he threw for 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns while posting his lowest passer rating since 2006, when he was backing up Brett Favre. Rodgers also failed to make the Pro Bowl for the first time since 2017, when he suffered a broken collarbone.

if Rodgers does manage to play well, and New York stays relatively healthy, perhaps there is a scenario in which it reaches the AFC Championship Game.

But a lot has to go right for the Jets, and things haven’t gone right for them for at least five decades.
