In 13 NFL seasons, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh made a name for himself as a physical defender who took no prisoners.

He didn’t play at all last season, and now that it is clear his playing career is pretty much over, he has accepted a new role and possibly a new career.

He will be returning to Sky Sports as an analyst for its coverage of NFL games.

The NFL has been looking to spread the sport of gridiron football to other countries, especially by holding games outside of the United States, and Sky Sports, a British network, is looking to play a role in popularizing the sport across the pond.

Suh spent his first five NFL seasons with a Detroit Lions team that was struggling to gain respectability despite the presence of quarterback Matthew Stafford and Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

He played the next three years with the Miami Dolphins before moving on to the Los Angeles Rams for the 2018 season, a season in which the Rams made it to the Super Bowl and lost there to Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.

Suh signed as a free agent the following year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in 2020, as a teammate of Brady’s, he won a Super Bowl championship.

While he has made the Pro Bowl five times and the All-Pro First Team three times, he has been criticized for his style of play, which has been called dirty and led to him picking up numerous personal foul penalties and hefty fines.
