With the Las Vegas Raiders seemingly stuck in NFL purgatory, there have been whispers that they may trade arguably their best player.
Star wide receiver Davante Adams has seen his name come up in trade rumors every now and then lately, but he remains a member of the Raiders as they look to somehow finally regain respectability.
Part of the speculation regarding Adams has had to do with his supposed unhappiness with the organization, but he downplayed those reports, per Vic Tafur.

Last season, he made some comments about the Raiders having trouble establishing a winning culture and said he doesn’t have time to wait for such a culture to develop.
They do have some legitimate talent, including Adams, fellow wideout Jakobi Meyers and star pass rusher Maxx Crosby, and they’re also hopeful for rookie tight end Brock Bowers, the No. 13 pick in April’s draft.
In addition, they have a head coach in Antonio Pierce who their players love to play for and have vouched for ever since he replaced Josh McDaniels midway through last season.
But Las Vegas’ quarterback situation isn’t exactly enviable — Gardner Minshew, who should ideally be serving as a backup, is their starter, with second-year man Aidan O’Connell backing him up.
Minshew threw for 3,305 yards and 15 touchdowns while completing 62.2 percent of his passes in 2023, while O’Connell had 2,218 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns in 11 games.
Despite the struggles of O’Connell and Jimmy Garoppolo, the Raiders’ starting QBs a year ago, Adams still managed to put up 103 catches, 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.
