The NFL season is almost here.
For diehard fans of the game, opening night is something they’ve waited for since the final whistle of the prior year’s Super Bowl.
Even for the most casual of fans, the NFL season is generally met with excitement, as it provides a form of entertainment throughout fall and early winter.
Many people have voiced their excitement about the start of the season, including former quarterback, Nick Foles.
It’s time for some NFL football!
— Nick Foles (@NickFoles) September 3, 2024
Foles last appeared in a game during the 2022 season, suiting up for the Indianapolis Colts.
He has since retired, and while he last played for the Colts, he is best known for his time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Foles is a legend in Philadelphia, as he helped lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory, notably beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in an epic battle.
For this, Foles will go down in history, taking down one of the best quarterbacks the league has ever seen.
He certainly has his place in leaguewide lore, but he holds a special place in the hearts of Eagles fans.
The team will honor him ahead of their home opener, as he will retire as a member of the Eagles.
That Super Bowl was a special time for the city, one that they won’t soon forget, even after Foles is far from the game.
With any luck, Jalen Hurts can continue the legacy and win another title for one of the most passionate fanbases in the sport.
