As the NFL regular season is about to get underway, the betting odds for who will win the AFC have been released.

According to the NFL on Fox, the Kansas City Chiefs, to no surprise, are considered the betting favorites to win the conference (+300).

If anybody out there is surprised at these results, they must have forgotten that Kansas City has been the dominant team in the AFC for the last half-decade.

Since MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes took over as the starter, the Chiefs have made six consecutive AFC Championship Games, five Super Bowl appearances, and have won three Super Bowls.

Of course, head coach Andy Reid and Co. are looking to do the impossible and win their third consecutive Super Bowl in as many years.

No NFL team has ever done that in history.

But, this year could be their toughest yet considering the rest of the AFC is filled with talented teams and elite quarterbacks.

Teams like the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, and many others appear to have great teams on paper, along with elite signal-callers.

On the other side in the NFC, teams such as the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Eagles could be real threats when it comes to Kansas City’s Super Bowl quest too.

It will be fascinating to see if they can achieve greatness once again when every team is gunning for them in 2024.

When the Chiefs take the field tomorrow night against the Baltimore Ravens to kick off the season, fans will get a glimpse of how prepared this team is with a target on their back.
