This could be a bounce-back season for the Philadelphia Eagles, who entered last season as the defending NFC champs but came apart at the seams in December and January.

After starting 10-1, they lost five of their last six regular-season games, and in the wild-card round of the playoffs got their feathers plucked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 32-9.

But with star running back Saquon Barkley, wide receiver Jahan Dotson and a pair of intriguing rookie cornerbacks in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean now on board, they’re being picked by many to finish on top of the NFC East.

In advance of the season opener, the Eagles announced they have released tight end Kevin Foelsch and safety Caden Sterns while bringing in offensive lineman Jack Driscoll and wide receiver Kyle Philips.

Foelsch was an undrafted free agent this spring out of the University of New Haven, where he caught 73 passes for 660 yards and 16 touchdowns.

He was signed to Philadelphia’s practice squad just two days ago.

Sterns, a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, appeared in one game for the Denver Broncos last season while limited by a knee injury.

He has now been cut four times in the past month.

Driscoll spent the past four seasons with the Eagles and was signed by the Miami Dolphins in March, only to be released by them last week.

Philips was a member of the Tennessee Titans the past two years after they selected him in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

They released him just a week ago with an injury designation.
