The Philadelphia Eagles have yet another weapon.

It’s never usual to see teams trading with divisional rivals, but GM Howie Roseman never takes the usual route.

That’s why he picked up the phone and reached out to the Washington Commanders to land Jahan Dotson.

So, now that the Penn State product has found himself a new team, he’s also logged a new jersey number.

Dotson will now sport No. 87, a number usually reserved for tight ends.

That’s why he took to social media to let everybody know that his decision was out of his control, jokingly stating that he was just happy to be there.

Eagles fans might link that number with bruising tight ends like Brent Celek or CJ Uzomah and not so much with a smaller speedster.

Standing at 5-foot-11 and 184 pounds, Dotson will be an odd sight with that number on his back.

The former first-round pick will look to take his career to a whole new level after two modest seasons with the Commanders.

Obviously, he can’t wear his usual No. 1 with the Eagles, as that number is used by Jalen Hurts.

As for his Nop. 5 from college, the Eagles retired it when they induced Donovan McNabb into their Hall of Fame, so he had no choice but to think outside of the box.

Whatever the case, all the fans will care about will be his production, and even if he’s behind AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, he could be in line for a very productive season.
