College football is officially underway and fans around the nation are packing the stadiums hoping to see their teams make a run at the new 12-team playoff while also hoping to see who will stand out as the next batch of Heisman Trophy candidates.

Two former Heisman winners Robert Griffin III and Reggie Bush bumped into each other during Week 1 and shared a nice photo together as well.

RGIII shared a photo he and Reggie Bush took while promoting Nissan’s Heisman House in front of a framed portrait of Griffin with the caption “Welcome Home.”

Bush got his 2005 Heisman back a few months ago 14 years after it was rescinded due to improper benefits, and the Heisman Trust has once again recognized Bush due to changes in the landscape of college football.

Because the trophy was returned to him, Bush is now eligible to attend all Heisman events, and apparently, film more commercials as it looks like he was doing with RGIII given his outfit.

This photo is much better than the last photo RGIII had go viral of him eating a giant croissant that surfaced just before he was let go of his analyst duties by ESPN.

Both Griffin and Bush were second-overall picks who didn’t quite live up to the otherworldly hype they came into the league with, but both were transcendent as college players and ran away with their respective Heisman Trophies.

It’s great to see all the controversy around Bush finally settled and to see him enjoying all that comes with being a Heisman winner once again.
