After making a lot of noise as one of the best quarterbacks in the country while playing for the University of Southern California, Caleb Williams was selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.

Although Williams has yet to play a meaningful down in the NFL, there’s been a lot of buzz about the 22-year-old’s potential to be a superstar quarterback on the professional level and the missing piece to the championship puzzle for the struggling Bears franchise.

Despite being under tremendous pressure while being dubbed the savior in the Windy City, Williams is no stranger to high stakes and being the focal point of the media while leading a popular football team, as that’s precisely what he did as the face of USC over the past couple of years.

While making USC relevant again, Williams also won the Heisman Trophy for the 2022 college football season.

Bears tight end Cole Kmet recently appeared on “The Eighty Five” podcast and talked about having breakfast with his new teammate and asking him where he keeps the trophy, and the answer he was given blew him away.

“He’s like, ‘It’s in my house next to a Lego set.’ I’m like, that’s ridiculous, ” Kmet said, via CHGO Sports. “That’s ridiculous.”

Since being drafted, Williams has been making headlines for the Bears almost daily, attracting a lot of added attention to the storied franchise and its chances of being one of the better teams in the NFL during the 2024 campaign.

Although it may take some time for the Bears to live up to expectations with their new star quarterback, Chicago is a team turning heads around the league and might be able to make a run at a playoff spot this season if everything comes together.
