The Cleveland Cavaliers may have fallen short in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, but the team is constructed well enough to compete in the Eastern Conference during the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.
Cleveland has bucked the trend of small-ball in favor of a bigger roster headlined by Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.
The “Twin Towers” look is reminiscent of basketball in its earlier days and the Cavaliers make good use of Mobley and Allen who are great at protecting the paint.
However, Mobley is the key to Cleveland’s success as the former third-overall pick oozes talent and upside with his size, length, speed and skill.
The former USC standout has steadily improved over the years and was awarded a five-year max extension last month.
While he’s secured his financial future, Mobley is still hard at work preparing for the regular season.

In the short video, Mobley is seen doing dumbbell rows which is a good sign to see as he needs to add more muscle to hang with some of the big men in the league.
Players like Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo lie in wait in the Eastern Conference and Mobley will be needed to limit them from doing damage.
Defensively, Mobley is far ahead of the curve so it’s his offense that needs to improve in order for him to take the next leap.
By all accounts, though, Mobley is set up for success and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of year he has.
