The Detroit Lions were given a bit of a scare with an injury to arguably their most valuable offensive lineman.
All-Pro tackle Penei Sewell left a recent practice with a left foot injury.
According to insider Justin Rogers, Sewell was able to walk off without assistance toward the locker room for more testing after trainers took off his shoe to check out his foot and ankle.

Sewell is one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL today.
The two-time Pro-Bowler signed a four-year contract extension worth $112 million this offseason to keep him in Detroit for years to come.
He, along with All-Pro wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, quarterback Jared Goff, running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, and Pro Bowl tight end Sam LaPorta, are the focal points for the Lions offense.
Losing Sewell for an extended period of time could be quite costly for a team that loves to utilize both the passing game and the running game.
In a division with the Green Bay Packers and in a conference with the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, the Lions are going to need to stay as healthy as possible if they want to get back to the NFC Championship Game this season.
The good news is that Sewell was able to walk off under his own power, but all Lions fans will be holding their breath until the injury is officially said to be nothing serious.
