How To Host an Outdoor Movie Night

Disclosure: Thank you to Walmart and Collective Voice for sponsoring today’s post. All products were selected, purchased, and loved by yours truly.

What’s better than a night at the movies? How about gathering with your friends, family, and neighbors, and taking in a movie or the big game from your own backyard! That’s right – we’re talking about an outdoor movie night, and I’m sharing everything you need to make it happen [hint: it’s not much, but a few extras make it even more fun!].

The best part [aside from comfy pillows, candy, and shooting stars overhead]? You can get everything from one spot – Walmart! I mean, I couldn’t say no to these floor cushions, these black and white striped pillows, and the lanterns!! And the adorable popcorn containers! And with the convenience of Walmart’s buy online pickup in store feature, I was able to have both the treats and movie supplies loaded into my car within a few hours! Anytime I can get what I need without getting myself and the kids out of the car is a win in my book!

Comfort is key! From a tiki torch to keep the bugs away to floor cushions and neck roll pillows, we piled on our comfy blankets [tan and white!] with all the comfort we needed to take in the show! And don’t forget the lanterns to light the way!

It really doesn’t *require* much to have an outdoor movie night, but one key is a projector! We grabbed this one, where we could either use a connector to plug in a device for playing our movie, or download our favorite streaming service right to the projector! We added on a speaker for additional sound, and sent the picture right up onto the screen as soon as it got dark!

White Tray // Popcorn Containers // Drink Tub

It’s not a movie without snacks, am I right? Our kiddos loved being able to grab a thing of popcorn [inside these cute red and white containers!], and mix in their sweet treats of choice! They may or may not have been sneaking candy solo too 😉
